Finding it

Gilbert's Food Bar (Post-Security) is in 2nd Level Departures in South Terminal at Miami International Airport. It is airside, past the security checkpoint, so allow for the queue before you count on it.

South Terminal has 21 places to eat and 42 shops in this directory; the earliest opens at 4:30am.

Hours against the security queue

Across the week, MIA security runs longest around 5pm at a median of 16 minutes, and lightest around 11pm at 2 minutes.

Queue figures are medians from FlyIndex's MIA wait-time record, not a live reading.

About this location

Past the checkpoint on the South Terminal's 2nd level departures, this Gilbert's counter runs from 4am to 11pm, a much wider window than the pre-security Gilbert's location at Door 26, which closes at 9pm and sits on the other side of the checkpoint entirely. The early 4am open makes it one of the few things running in the H-J connector before the first bank of South Terminal departures. Being post-security rather than landside also means it draws people already through the checkpoint and settled near their gate, not passengers still working through drop-off or check-in.

Other options in South Terminal

All past the same checkpoint, so you can reach them without clearing security again.
