Terminal 1 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Use Terminal 1 as your shortcut to the right gates, nearby food, and the next airport page you need. Most listed options appear after security, which is useful once you clear the checkpoint.

About Terminal 1

Terminal 1 holds a single concourse at gates 9 and 11A through 18B, with its own dedicated security checkpoint and no airside connection to any other terminal. Southwest Airlines is the anchor tenant, sharing the building with Allegiant, Breeze, Cayman Airways, Frontier and Sun Country. JetBlue moved its LAX operations here after Terminal 5's October 2025 closure, adding a sixth carrier to what had been a Southwest-dominated building. Anyone connecting to or from another terminal has to exit security and re-clear it on the other side, since Terminal 1 does not link airside to its neighbors.
